The Beauty of Insignificance

If the whole of Earth’s history of 4.6 billion years was compressed to 24 hours, humans would only have been alive for 2 minutes, and 20 minutes ago the dinosaurs got wiped out.

We are so insignificant, that maybe the reason advanced aliens have not visited us is that they have no interest in such primitive species.

There are now 8 billion people. If you met 100 new people a day, it would take you over 200 years to meet everyone’s… graves.

The good thing about being insignificant? That it really doesn’t matter what you do. Our ego puts a lot of emphasis on our emotions but even you lose interest of most emotions you go through life.

So don’t take life too seriously. Figure out the things that increase positive emotions and do more of them.

Many of my posts are systematic. Do X, get Y. Life rarely lets us get away with such simple formulas. Sometimes the flow takes us and turns everything into chaos. And sometimes that’s beautiful too. When the storm is over, see if you still need Y. If you do, then do X.

The only thing you shouldn’t do? Waste your time doing things you don’t like because someone tells you that’s how life should be.
